getting a car

Buying a car, finally I am going to have my own car. gone are the days of fighting for a place  on buses. I have been working for 3 years and most of my friends and even my juniors have already bought their car...Big expensive car and i am the only one still without a car so after 3 long years I finally made up my mind to get a car and whats even more interesting is the fact that its a second hand car.  a ProDua kancil 660cc manual car. 

a 5 year old car that belong to a friend of a friend but  look quite new and hopefully will be with me for a very long time to come. I have not been behind a wheel for quite some time so my driving skills is very rusty but hopefully I can still drive decently   

matching cloths

have you ever seen people wearing matching cloths before?

i have seen two girls wearing matching clothes that was meant for boyfriend-girlfriend, guess they did it for fun. too bad i did not took a picture of them as proof last time aw...too bad but here are a few examples of couple with matching cloths.

Good wishes from the lecturer to the students class of 09/10

Today is the second last day of the semester, yesterday students finish their finals and they are free to go home their matriculation days are over. most of them can't wait to go back home and see their parents and family again. I am happy for my students and wish them all the best  here are some picture of the farewell assembly we had on the 30/3/2010

   

Earth Hour 2010

today..well tonight it's going to be Earth hour again and it will be the second time since that our country took part, so do remember to close the light for one Hour tonight everyone.

Bougainvillea

    The poem:To a Shrub

Is about the plant Bougainvillea,

a flower also know as

Paper flower (Bunga kertas) in Bahasa.

I analyze this poem in my university days

And why you ask I mention this poem here?

Well, it's a great poem by a local Malaysian poet,

And the sight of the flower under my Block made me

Reminiscent about this poem.

Describing the flower as

“What happy combination

Of the hardy and the beautiful” 

 

Beauty and hardy /tough

an unusual combination

But that is essentially what it is,

 It can survive

“Through drought and monsoon”

And it also have “conceal fierce thorns” 

but its still a flower with its beauty

when everything around is brown and yellow,

its still green lush and beautiful.

Labuan is a military base for air force and navy  so you do hear fighter jet zooming overhead some time.

once  they even landed on KML’s stadium and I was there to take some picture(2009)

KML class of 2009/2010 see a lot of these “Harapan Cerah” Water Tank coming to KML bringing water almost every day.

Yes water has always been a problem for labuan and KML students over these few year but this year was the worst.

pump in the liquid of life (not Blood but water)

Blue-sky look great on postcard but in real life a sky without cloud is actually very hot you can almost feel your skin burn under the sun

your so hot and dry

They say the grass is always greener on the other side.well in Labuan it would be true because it is Hot and dry,

so hot that grass wither up and turn brown. We have a carpet of brown grass in our field.
